Former President Donald Trump recently shared that he doesn’t like the term “woke,” saying that most people that use the word “can’t even define it.”
“I don’t like the term ‘woke’ because I hear, ‘Woke, woke, woke.’ It’s just a term they use, half the people can’t even define it, they don’t know what it is,” Trump said during remarks in Urbandale, Iowa.
Trump notes his crowd is more enthused about bigotry than they are for tax cuts: "It's amazing how strongly people feel about that. I talk about cutting taxes, people go like that, I talk about transgender everybody goes crazy. Five years ago you didn't know what the hell it was" pic.twitter.com/n1xoeCIL5C

Many viewers observed that this was a shot at Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who is perhaps Trump’s most formidable opponent in the 2024 Republican presidential nomination race.
“We reject this woke ideology,” DeSantis said during remarks in January.
Last year, the Sunshine State governor signed legislation known as the “Stop WOKE Act” into law.

Woke is as ignorant sounding, uneducated and as stupid sounding as Juneteeth.
Have we stoopped to the lowest common denominator of uneducated sounding words instead of awake and Emancipation Day?

The term WOKE describes a culture of active participation in disseminating discourse meant to fight all forms of political, racial and gender oppression, and diversity. Of course, the ultimate goal is to promote social justice, equal rights, and better protection for formerly discriminated against groups. I think Jesus would have approved! Based on the rhetoric that Jesus espoused, it would seem like he was the first “woke” person on the planet. That’s why Trump hates the word woke… It goes against everything he believes in.
