Recent events in Georgia politics have ignited further divisions within the GOP. Governor Brian Kemp’s decision against holding a session for the potential impeachment of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has added fuel to the fire. Willis was instrumental in the recent indictment of Trump, alongside 18 others, over alleged electoral conspiracies within the state. Despite these accusations, Trump, a front-runner in the GOP’s 2024 presidential primary, maintains his innocence.
This divide in Georgia’s GOP is becoming more evident, with traditional Republicans on one side and staunch Trump supporters, such as Marjorie Taylor Greene and Burt Jones, on the other.
In a recent turn of events, Kemp critiqued Trump’s pandemic response, pointing out Trump’s initial disagreement with Georgia’s early reopening strategy in 2020. Kemp’s criticism was prompted by a video on a platform formerly known as Twitter, where Trump voiced his concerns about COVID-19 measures. It’s worth noting that in April 2020, Trump had publicized his belief that Kemp was reopening Georgia’s businesses prematurely.

I like Trump and will vote for him if he is nominated. However, DJT is not perfect and made some mistakes in policy as well as personnel.

If and only if he puts the most outspoken anti-Biden members of congress on the committee. Fair is fair and I don’t care how much the democrats caterwaul and cry about how unjust it is are. Point out how Trump was treated.

President Biden has done nothing wrong or illegal. Disagreeing with his policies is not even remotely grounds for impeachment. Think Nixon, Think Trump–who wouldn’t know the truth if it hit him in the face.
