Would You Ever Consider Moving to California?

Would You Ever Consider Moving to California?

Here’s the Scoop

The recent move of Sylvester Stallone and his wife, Jennifer Flavin, from California to Florida has sparked a broader conversation about the appeal of the Golden State in today’s America.

Selling their California home to singer Adele for a staggering $58 million, the Stallones have joined a growing trend of high-profile departures from the West Coast.

Flavin’s candid admission that she and Stallone sought a “totally different lifestyle” in Florida raises questions about what California offers—or fails to offer—to its residents. Despite acknowledging the state’s beauty, Flavin expressed a desire for change and the limitations of a life confined to one place.

The move comes amid a backdrop of rising concerns over crime and quality of life in California, although Flavin noted that crime was not the primary motivator for their relocation.

This sentiment is mirrored in Stallone’s comments on his Netflix documentary “Sly,” where he describes the move as a creative reawakening, rather than a pursuit of a different view.

California, known for its stunning landscapes and as a hub of innovation and entertainment, has also faced challenges such as high living costs, regulatory burdens, and social issues. These factors have led many, including notable celebrities, to reconsider their stay in the state.

This poll invites you, our readers, to weigh in on a significant and personal decision: Would you ever consider moving to California? Is the allure of California’s beauty and opportunities enough to outweigh the concerns and challenges that some residents, like the Stallones, have experienced?

Your perspective is crucial in understanding the shifting perceptions of one of America’s most iconic states. Vote now and share your views on whether California is still a dream destination or if its appeal is fading in the face of changing times and priorities.

if they gave me that state I wouldn’t move there. but I would erect a Tall Electrified Fence around it and lock all of the Liberals in so they couldn’t spoil the rest of the country with their stupid ideas

It’s a beautiful state and would love to visit and drive up the coast road, but would never consider moving there. The reasons people are leaving that can afford to are pretty damning.

Why would anyone in the right mind want to move into a septic tank? Literally.

I used to relish visiting Kalifornia, especially SFO! But now I won’t even set foot there. Once known as the “Golden State”, it is now the “Granola State”! Fruits and nuts surrounded by flakes!

I voted “NO” because, unfortunately, I already live there.

Yes us too. Love California, but can’t put up with corruption of politicians and crowds here.
      We are moving out.
      Too sad.

The problem with celebrities and leftists moving from California to Republican run states nearby is they keep voting the same and eventually the Republican run state becomes a Dem run state. That’s what happened to Colorado and now states like Texas and Arizona are in danger.

raise the fees, raise the taxes, build tunnel to create another Owens valley, no work on water storage projects but studying to ship more water to south cal. Our gov & top public servants do not care about the everyday provider, just the income they can provide for the state to spend money on ???? experiments!

We lived in California for several years and am grateful to have left before the turn of events by the governing party. Move to Texas and enjoy life.
