Do You Agree with Gov. Sanders That “Inclusive” Language Erases Women?

Here’s the Scoop

In a strong move against the ever-growing ‘woke culture,’ Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders of Arkansas is taking a definitive stand.

Introducing an executive order, she is mandating the use of gender-specific terminology when referring to women in state government, in effect, putting a full stop to the increasingly prevalent “anti-women words” being promoted elsewhere.

The Governor didn’t mince words.

She asserted, “The science is clear and real; There are things only women can do, like perform the miracle of birth.”

The executive order further mentioned, “Government should reject language that ignores, undermines, and erases women; Government should celebrate gender distinctions between men and women – not erase them.”

Across the nation, the push for what’s deemed “culturally conscious” or “inclusive” language is on the rise.

These efforts, in many cases, blur the lines between genders and often strip away the intrinsic femininity from terms specific to women.

For instance, the Arkansas Department of Health had previously issued a memo referring to the adverse effects of certain substances on “pregnant people.”

Sanders’ new directive will reinstate traditional nomenclature, using phrases like “pregnant women” or “pregnant mom” instead.

Gov. Sanders is unwavering in her stance.

She provides explicit guidance on word usage: “woman” or “women” should be used instead of “menstruating person,” “breastfeeding” in place of “chestfeeding,” and “birth mom” or “woman” should replace terms like “laboring person” or “birth-giver.”

This isn’t merely a linguistic debate for Sanders. It’s a matter of principle.

As the pioneering female governor of Arkansas, she’s been a vocal critic of the broader national trend, even criticizing President Biden for what she views as his capitulation to a “woke mob that can’t tell you what a woman is.”

Nationwide, the erosion of gender-specific terminology is evident.

The city of Portland, for example, has advised its staff to sidestep traditional terms like “women,” “Caucasian,” or “citizen.”

A Vermont elementary school opted to expunge “male” and “female” language from fifth-grade science lessons on human biology and reproduction.

In another instance, a Missouri school district elected to employ “they/them” pronouns in math lessons to foster kids’ “mathematical identities.”

This drive for “inclusivity” doesn’t just end at gender. It’s seeping into other realms as well, from religious vocabulary alterations to biological men competing in women’s sports.

Michigan State University even went as far as suggesting students avoid any majority religious imagery and language during winter and spring, recommending generic terms over traditional festive expressions.

But Gov. Sanders is drawing the line here and now. She’s set to introduce her executive order, which she says will “ban a number of all sorts of ridiculous words from state government documents.”

At the signing, she’s expected to emphasize: “We are all here to say enough. Enough trying to erase women and girls. Enough denying our biological differences from men. Enough of the craziness taking over our country.”

She will further condemn the erasure of women, saying, “They’re using nonsense words to erase women and girls – and more importantly, to erase our voices and experiences. Today, we’re taking a stand against woke nonsense…It’s the Left that decided that woman is a dirty word. It’s the Left that decided that we needed to toss out basic biology – and basic grammar along with it.”

What is so abundantly clear is that the most outspoken feminists are silent. One would think they would be screaming about the fact that women are being cancelled, that men pretending to be women are being exalted, that women are being decimated in sports and worst of all having no privilege or privacy in a restroom.

This Administration is trying to erase women and all their hard-fought accomplishments. He wants to take us back to Feudal times when women were chattel, property to be treated worse than livestock. Had no rights whatsoever but what the man who controlled them said they could have. That is SO Wrong. They want to follow science but science says there are fundamental differences between males and females. Female, bone, and muscle structures are different for different reasons, ours are to withstand child-bearing. The Male bone and muscle structures are heavier, more dense to carry more weight and heavier physical burdens. Women are lighter so they can move quicker to get away from danger, while the men are physically enhanced to Protect the women and children or at least delay the danger to the weaker (women & children) sex. Yes women wanted men to become more sensitive to their (women) emotions but not to the point (sorry men) of becoming Wusses. We still want men to be men but be polite and sensitive when needed.
