Is It Wrong to Remove Donald Trump From the Colorado Ballot?

Is It Wrong to Remove Donald Trump From the Colorado Ballot?

Here’s the Scoop

In a decision that’s sending shockwaves through the political landscape, the Colorado Supreme Court has made the unprecedented move of disqualifying former President Donald Trump from appearing on the state’s ballots in 2024.

This ruling, grounded in the 14th Amendment due to Trump’s alleged role in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, has opened a Pandora’s box of legal and constitutional debates.

The court, in a 4-3 decision, stated, “We do not reach these conclusions lightly,” acknowledging the gravity of their ruling amidst a politically charged atmosphere.

Trump, in response, didn’t directly address the Colorado ruling but condemned what he perceives as a broader scheme against him.

“Joe Biden is a threat to democracy,” Trump said, accusing the administration of “weaponizing law enforcement for high-level election interference.”

Trump Campaign Spokesman Steven Cheung strongly criticized the ruling, saying, “Unsurprisingly, the all-Democrat appointed Colorado Supreme Court has ruled against President Trump, supporting a Soros-funded, left-wing group’s scheme to interfere in an election on behalf of Crooked Joe Biden by removing President Trump’s name from the ballot and eliminating the rights of Colorado voters to vote for the candidate of their choice.”

Cheung vowed a swift appeal to the United States Supreme Court.

This ruling is not isolated. Similar disqualification lawsuits are pending in 13 states, including Texas, Nevada, and Wisconsin, raising questions about the role of the judiciary in the electoral process and the interpretation of the 14th Amendment.

With this contentious issue at the forefront, we ask you, our readers: Is it wrong to remove Donald Trump from the Colorado ballot? Is this a justified application of the law, or does it cross into dangerous territory of political interference and disenfranchisement of voters?

Your opinion is critical in this debate about electoral integrity, legal boundaries, and the future of American democracy. Vote now and let your voice be heard on this consequential issue.

The Colorado Supreme Court just demonstrated the face of fascism! The court threw the concept of innocence until proven guilty in a court of law out the window and replaced it with the concept of guilty until proven innocent by ones enemies! There was no “insurrection” on Jan 6, 2021 by definition! Trump has not only NOT been found guilty of insurrection, he hasn’t even been formally CHARGED with insurrection! Furthermore, Not ONE of the Jan 6 political prisoners has been charged with or found guilty or insurrection! What the Colorado Supreme Court has done is replaced the rule of law with the rule of political expediency favoring a political agenda! This travesty not only demonstrates fascism, it exposes the often dysfunctional judiciary system! It also verifies the now precipitous decline of this nation!

Jan 6 was not an insurrection. An insurrection would have taken control of the Capitol. It would have made demands and not have left until the demands were met. They walked around, took pictures and left.

It probably would have taken hostages and they would have brought guns.

Obviously some folks can’t read, the 14th Amendment states that if you are convicted of insurrection you can’t run, Trump has not been convicted of anything, so they need to go back to school and learn how to read!
