Do You Still Support Trump AFTER His Guilty Verdict?

Here’s The Scoop

In a historic and unprecedented move, former President Donald Trump was found guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records by a Manhattan jury. This verdict marks a significant moment in U.S. history as Trump becomes the first former president to be criminally convicted. The case, brought forward by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, centered around allegations that Trump had concealed a $130,000 hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels prior to the 2016 presidential election.

The prosecution argued that the payment was intended to silence Daniels about an alleged affair with Trump, thus influencing the election’s outcome. According to Bragg, Trump made these payments through his former attorney, Michael Cohen, and then falsely recorded the transactions as legal expenses. This deliberate falsification of business records, Bragg asserted, was part of a broader scheme to deceive voters and protect Trump’s campaign.

Throughout the trial, Trump vehemently denied any wrongdoing, characterizing the entire process as a “witch hunt” and a “politically motivated attack.” Despite his repeated claims of innocence, the jury found the evidence presented by the prosecution compelling enough to convict him on all charges. The former president now faces a potential maximum sentence of 136 years in prison.

Sentencing for Trump is scheduled for July 11, a date that falls just before the Republican National Convention. This timing adds another layer of complexity to the political landscape, as Trump has already announced his intention to run for president again in 2024. Notably, a criminal conviction does not disqualify him from seeking office, leaving his political future in a state of uncertainty.

Reacting to the verdict, Trump remained defiant, insisting that the trial was rigged and that he had been unfairly targeted by his political opponents. “This is a travesty of justice,” Trump said in a statement. “The American people see this for what it is: a coordinated effort to take down a political rival.”

Michael Cohen, who played a key role in the case against Trump, expressed a sense of vindication following the verdict. “This is not about vengeance; it’s about accountability,” Cohen stated. “No one is above the law, not even a former president.”

The trial and its outcome have sparked intense debate across the nation, with supporters and critics of Trump offering sharply divided reactions. For many of Trump’s supporters, the conviction reinforces their belief in a deep state conspiracy aimed at undermining their leader. Conversely, his critics view the verdict as a long-overdue moment of accountability for a man they believe has long evaded justice.

As the nation grapples with the implications of this landmark case, questions about the integrity of the electoral process and the role of the judiciary in holding powerful figures accountable come to the forefront. The trial’s conclusion does not mark the end of legal battles for Trump, who continues to face investigations on multiple fronts, including his efforts to overturn the 2020 election results and his handling of classified documents.

The political ramifications of Trump’s conviction are profound, potentially reshaping the landscape for the 2024 presidential race. While his legal troubles may galvanize his base, they also present significant challenges for his campaign. Whether Trump can leverage this adversity to his advantage or whether it will hinder his ambitions remains to be seen.

In the meantime, the eyes of the nation remain fixed on the developments in Trump’s legal saga, a story that continues to unfold with each passing day. The jury’s verdict is a pivotal chapter, but far from the final word, in the ongoing narrative of Donald Trump’s complex and controversial public life.

Wayne, what you do not understand this kangaroo trial would of never happened if Trump was not running for president. 64 years ago Nikita Khreushchev, president of Russia said at the UN America will distroy itself from within and so far he is right. The illegals today do not want to build America they want free everything. Biden has America no longer energy independent we have
to live by control of OPEC Biden lies and not
honoring our constitution. And when is comes to democracy he lies also. When biden takes away choice between gas and electric that is not democracy. Open your eyes and mind Trump would be much better than biden.

And yet, he was declared guilty, by 12 jurors who were approved by Trumps defense team and who deliberated for 2 days. How can you say he isn’t guilty?

The federal government already refused to prosecute because there was no case. In order for Bragg to come up with a case, he had to change the law just for this case as the term for the MISDEMEANOR had expired. When the judge denies defense an expert witness to refute the testimony of aa key witness and convicted liar, when both the liar and Stormy both made significant amounts of money from books on this, and will continue to do so if there is a conviction, when Stormy originally said there was no affair and later changes her story 3 times, under oath, when the judge gives jury instructions basically saying that he is guilty and if 4 of the 12 juror’s find him guilty on a count, he will consider it a unanimous guilty verdict, and when the whole thing is held in an area that is 90% against the defendent to begin with — then how can you say he is guilty?

      • Gunny Gil

        May 31, 2024 at 2:17 pm

His lawyers by law can/could only discharge so many prospective jurors and the judge in essense told the jurors to convict and gave them the latitude to do so. The Majority of the charges are fake and many are not felonies and many had already gone past the statute of limitations. If this trial was legal then Hunter Biden and his dad should be tried next week for treason.

When even liberal attorneys and commentators exclaim that this whole procedure was a sham, how can anyone who is fair-minded believe there is not a conspiracy of the deep state full of unpatriotic and Marxist leaning or socialist loving deep state ADHERENTS!!
The America of the past four years, if it continues in a Biden/Harris administration for 4 more years, will kill the Republic and end the grand experiment of the United States: Lincoln’s words at Gettysburg with a few minor adjustments would say this… that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall ____ perish from the earth.

Can you name those “liberal commentators” who said it was a sham? A jury that was approved by Trump’s defense team, who ALL decided, based on the evidence, that he was guilty. Of ALL charges. After 2 days of deliberations.

When will you all wake up? You don’t have to like Biden but this blind worship to Trump is shocking and puzzling.

Judge Marchon should be disbarred and Bragg should be fired for working together on this scheme to try to keep the worst President (Biden) in office and destroy this country.
Trump is not guilty but since we live in a one party progressive state,to be kind, Merchon and his daughter should be investigated, just like Biden and Hunter. Corruption all around.
    TRUMP 2024 all the way.
    Disbar Merchon, fire Bragg.

I am a 76-year-old retired male who is going through treatment for Colon Cancer. I admit I never spent much time following the news about politics but since I had my first surgery in March the fourth, I have spent a lot of my time watching the various news channels thar I receive on my Samsung Smart TV’s. I only have rabbit ear antennas with a router that I purchased from Best Buy. After our children move out of our home to start their own families my wife and I sold our two-story house and bought a small 935 square foot three-bedroom home with a one car attached garage. We had a 2013 Toyota Tacoma Crew Cab 6-Cylinder Prerunner two-wheel drive pickup truck which we sold to our local Carmax Dealership and cancelled the Auto Insurance on that vehicle as my wife has a 2019 Toyota Highlander 6-Cylinder All Wheel Drive that we use to go up into the mountains around Cloudcroft, Ruidoso, and Silver City, New Mexico. We also use it for trips throughout West Texas, and for mini vacations to the Dallas/Fort Worth area to visit relatives and friends and to the San Antonio area for the Alamo Tour, the Museums, the River Walk, and the great Tex/Mex food from the restaurants along the River Walk.

It should be a serious crime to use an American Court to zap your political opponent. I feel that the entire Trump’s political persecution should be recognize by the U.S, Supreme Court as invalid an totally UNAMERICAN.

Ukraine is a corrupt country being led by a corrupt government. Do you really think all the money being sent over there isn’t getting funneled back to the Democratic Party? Wake up! Zalinsky bought into the bitcoin company that swindled many Americans out of millions of dollars. Sam Brinkman I think was his name. Forty million went to the democrat party as a donation from this guy. Whose money do you think Zalinsky used to buy the bitcoins? Our tax dollars. The Russian hoax was just what it is; a hoax made up from the Clinton administration and paid for by the FBI for the dirty dossier.

Very little money is actually sent “over there”. It’s spent HERE buying American weapons & ammo and THAT”S what gets sent “over there”. I don’t care about corruption as much as I care about making sure Russia LOSES! BTW, people can’t put much credence in anything you write when you cannot even spell a name correctly: Z-E-L-E-N-S-K-Y-Y.

Because more rules and laws are twisted by the court systems to fit non criminal actions by any political candidates, the more likely our Constitution will be rammed into obscurity. It will lose any of it’s effectiveness to exist at all. They will ignore all of it’s finer points until it does not matter to them any more. Reminds me of the phrase “a death by a thousand cuts” – Just tiny cuts, till its not there anymore. Be Ware of this …..

With the Judges instructions and actions Trump had no way of winning. It was like telling the jury you have 3 choices in your verdict,he is guilty of robbing 1st National Bank and you must pick one, he is guilty of robbing 2nd National Bank or he is guilty of robbing 3rd National Bank and you do have the option of finding him guilty of all three.I know that the original charge was an unpaid parking ticket that his his wife got while using his car but these are all the underlying charges, by the way if you all need time off for a couple weeks vacation that is ok too.

Ed Scheffler, Can you justify to me, why the judge had 52 pages of instructions, and would not allow the jury to have a copy in the jury room!!!?? Many judges, even Dems allow each jury member to have a copy to help with their deliberation!!!!!!!

    • Mike

      June 15, 2024 at 5:16 pm

I have a question for the democrats…why are you so desperately scared shitless of president Trump? I mean they tried to impeach him twice with nothing but lies and just had another trial that the judge basically told the jury to convict him. Don’t worry that most of the evidence is false, your job is to convict. Makes me wonder if the jury was either threatened or bribed.
