If the left continues to control the educational system then not just yes but “hell” yes it must be abolished! But if the educational system could be overhauled to do its job as it was ment to be, then do that. Our educational system needs to continue to operate for the ,better of our children. But at the same time the sickening leftists ,pretty much imposing their trans-views on our kids is a crime in it self! More then 75% f “all” teachers at “all” levels of education are the single worst enemies of our nation! They have been brain washing o ur kids for decades!!! Its time we stopped that! American values and culture and its real history should be their focus. Not their personal views and if they have communist ideals then they shouldnt have a job at all in a free nation! Communism along with Islam are a Cancer ,that is come how taking deep roots into the world as a whole. America must stand as a “free” country at the head of the line ,as all people that wish to be free of bundage ,can be!!! May GOD have mercy on our souls!!!

I do not see anywhere in the Constitution that education is one of the jobs of the federal government. To the contrary, the federal government is to establish the currency and defend this country from foreign powers. Education should be left to parents, and if they wish to have the state provide schools for their children, that’s fine.

Each state should provide education with the permission of the taxpayers in the state. If the state screws up and does our kids wrong then it is easier to get rid of the sick garbage in the state than in the Fed government.

Absolutely. It states do not do a good job of educating children then businesses will not move there as they want smart educated employees. Employees that move with the company want good schools for their children. You are also correct, once the fed gets to determine anything it becomes Galactically, harder to change or get rid of. Decisions that are made by the people are always better. Originally the states held all the power, the fed very little. The people were much more involved making decisions that were in their interests.

It never should have been established! We are suppose to be a limited government with specific authority and responsibilities granted by the Constitution. No where in the Constitution is the federal government granted any d authority or control of public education. Ever since the department of education was established during the Carter administration and the federal government started interfering in public education, standards and quality of education have continued to go down. Public education definitely fall under Amendment X of the Constitution and is reserved to the States respectively, or to the people. Local school districts should be run by elected school boards with the support and approval of parents and local voters.

Education is one of those things that should never be centralized. Centralization (Federally controled) tends to trend towards clone like thinking; whereas decentralized education is freer thinking and more innovative and better at self examining itself. It is also less expensive because there is much less of a bureaucracy to contend with.
