Trump Administration Targets Violent Criminal Migrants
Liberty Check
The Department of Homeland Security arrested several illegal migrants convicted of violent crimes in Washington D.C. as part of a federal crackdown. This operation, supported by President Trump’s directive, highlights direct action against individuals who have endangered public safety.
DHS detailed five arrests to the public, stressing convictions for crimes including child molestation, rape, assault, and armed robbery.
- David Pineda-Medrano, from Guatemala, was convicted of sexual abuse of a minor and assault.
- Junior Alexi Medina-Fuentes, from Honduras, committed aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.
- Ja Mi, from Thailand, was found guilty of second-degree forcible rape.
“Secretary Noem unleashed the U.S. Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE) to target the worst of the worst—including gang members, murderers, pedophiles, terrorists, and rapists,” stated DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin.
Efforts by ICE have led to more than 359,000 arrests and over 332,000 removals of illegal aliens nationwide under this administration.
Jorge Andres Garcia-Celis, from Mexico, was convicted for molestation of a minor, while Leonardo Varela-Lopez from Mexico was found guilty of assault and repeated DUI offenses.
There have been over 550 total arrests since the crackdown began in early August, making D.C. safer amid rising crime rates.
“The facts are ICE is targeting the worst of the worst—including murderers, MS-13 gang members, pedophiles, and rapists. 70% of ICE arrests are of criminal illegal aliens who have been convicted or have pending charges in the U.S.—that doesn’t even include known or suspected terrorists, foreign gang members, convictions for violent crimes in foreign countries, or INTERPOL notices,” McLaughlin reinforced.
President Trump declared a crime emergency in the capital after high-profile violent incidents and warned that cities like Chicago could face similar federal action.
Constitutional conservatives have demanded accountability from government leaders, stressing the need for law enforcement to uphold the safety and rights of all Americans. This operation affirms the principle of limited government and equal justice.
Our freedoms depend on staying vigilant.
