Trump Reverses Shocking ICE Stand-Down Order Democrats Celebrated
Liberty Check
- President Trump personally intervened to reverse a Department of Homeland Security memo that ordered ICE to halt traffic enforcement operations
- The sudden stand-down directive was issued without Trump’s knowledge or approval, raising questions about who authorized the restriction
- Trump’s immediate reversal signals his continued commitment to aggressive immigration enforcement and pushback against bureaucratic sabotage
President Donald Trump took decisive action Wednesday to override a controversial Department of Homeland Security directive that had ordered Immigration and Customs Enforcement to stop conducting traffic stops in most cases. The abrupt policy shift, which appeared to undermine the administration’s immigration enforcement priorities, was reversed almost immediately after Trump became aware of it.
The memo instructing ICE agents to stand down from routine traffic enforcement came without the president’s knowledge or authorization. Sources close to the administration expressed concern about who within DHS issued the directive and whether it represented an attempt to quietly sabotage Trump’s immigration agenda from within the federal bureaucracy.
The men and women of ICE are doing a GREAT job, one that has to be done. CRIME IS WAY DOWN IN AMERICA, in many cases with numbers that haven’t been seen in decades. Once informed of the restriction, Trump moved swiftly to cancel the order and direct ICE to resume normal traffic stop operations. The reversal underscores the president’s unwavering stance on immigration enforcement and his refusal to allow administrative roadblocks to interfere with public safety operations.
Traffic stops have long been a critical tool for ICE in identifying and apprehending individuals in the country illegally, particularly those with criminal records or outstanding deportation orders. The temporary halt raised immediate alarms among immigration enforcement advocates who feared it signaled a softening of the administration’s commitment to border security and interior enforcement.
The incident highlights ongoing tensions between career bureaucrats within federal agencies and the Trump administration’s policy priorities. Trump has repeatedly expressed frustration with what he describes as the “deep state” — entrenched government officials who resist executive directives and work to undermine presidential authority.
With traffic enforcement now back in effect, ICE agents can once again use lawful traffic stops as part of their comprehensive approach to immigration enforcement. The quick reversal sends a clear message that attempts to quietly weaken immigration policy will not be tolerated under Trump’s leadership.
Americans deserve better.

And Rightly so. Democrats/liberals/activists/illegals are basically the same: Simply push back, and they’re emboldened, and will step up the intensity and violence against ICE agents.
Zero tolerance: Spit, throw objects, strike, even touch an ICE agent – immediate throw-down and arrest with extreme prejudice. Disobey a direct order from an ICE agent – immediate throw-down and arrest with extreme prejudice. Use a vehicle/brandish a weapon – shoot to kill. All arrested “protesters” should get the Jan 6 treatment, and put in same cell as the violent illegals that have been arrested. Attrition due to heavy arrests will diminish the violent and the agitators/instigators in the crowds, and the rest will become MUCH less inclined to participate.
