Trump Rewards Patriots With Cash For Busting Massive Government Fraud

  • President Trump is putting real money behind his promise to stop the looting of taxpayer dollars.
  • The new Fraud Whistleblower Incentive Program offers up to $30,000 for tips that deliver convictions or major enforcement actions.
  • Independent journalists like Nick Shirley are already proving that exposing fraud works when the administration backs it up.

President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance are taking the fight to those who steal from hardworking Americans. They will unveil a $25 million Fraud Whistleblower Incentive Program that puts cash in the pockets of citizens who help catch fraudsters. The announcement comes from the Oval Office with the Task Force to Eliminate Fraud.

The program, called WHIP, rewards eligible tipsters with as much as $30,000 when their information leads to a successful conviction or significant federal enforcement action. The Justice Department will run the initiative, and Americans can submit tips through fraud.gov. Everyday citizens and independent journalists alike now have a direct financial incentive to expose waste and abuse.

Trump will also hand independent journalist Nick Shirley a $10,000 check for his work exposing suspected fraud in Minnesota day care centers. Shirley’s video evidence helped trigger FBI and Department of Homeland Security investigations that resulted in arrests and charges.

“Every day, President Trump’s Task Force to Eliminate Fraud is zeroing in on the rampant abuse of taxpayer dollars and giving Americans the accountability they deserve. This administration has zero tolerance for individuals who steal from Americans,” White House spokeswoman Lauren Bis told Fox News Digital.

Shirley drew national attention after publishing footage of apparently empty Minnesota facilities that were collecting massive federal subsidies. One facility featured in his reporting, Future Leaders Early Learning Center, saw its former CEO, Fahima Egeh Mahamud, plead guilty to wire fraud and conspiracy to defraud the United States after stealing more than $4.6 million through false claims.

Trump created the Task Force to Eliminate Fraud in March with Vance serving as chairman. The executive order directs federal agencies to strengthen eligibility checks and stop improper payments. The new reward program adds a powerful public incentive to that broader effort.

Submitting a tip alone will not qualify someone for payment. The information must lead to a successful fraud conviction or a significant enforcement action before any reward is issued. The administration is sending a clear message that those who protect taxpayer dollars will be rewarded while those who steal will face real consequences.

Our freedoms depend on staying vigilant.
