Army Schedules Fort Hood Terrorist Execution

Liberty Check

  • Justice finally arrives for the 2009 Fort Hood attack that claimed thirteen American lives
  • Military firing squad set for December 3 marks first federal execution since 1961
  • Radicalized jihadist will face consequences for slaughtering soldiers on U.S. soil

The U.S. Army has scheduled convicted Fort Hood mass shooter Nidal Malik Hasan to die by firing squad Dec. 3 at the Texas military installation where he killed 13 people in 2009.

The execution would be the first carried out by the U.S. military since 1961, when Army Pvt. John Bennett was hanged at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

“Hasan was sentenced to death in 2013 for the attack that left 13 dead and more than 30 wounded at the Texas post.”

The Army has kept the case moving through appeals for over a decade, ensuring every legal avenue was exhausted before this final step.

“The military justice system has delivered a clear message that attacks on American service members will not be tolerated.”

Hasan, a former Army psychiatrist, opened fire on fellow soldiers at the processing center, killing them in cold blood before being wounded by military police.

His actions were later linked to radical Islamic sympathies that authorities had ignored despite warning signs from colleagues.

“The families of the victims have waited years for this day, and the military has finally honored their sacrifice.”

The Constitution must be defended.
