A woman accused of being a Chinese foreign agent and spying on the relative of a Taiwanese government official was arrested on Sunday at Los Angeles International Airport.

Federal authorities detained the suspect as she attempted to board an outbound flight, highlighting the ongoing threat posed by Beijing’s intelligence network operating on American soil.
The case raises serious questions about how many similar operatives may still be active inside the United States.
