Navy Secretary Ouster Sparks Fresh Pentagon Leadership Backlash
Liberty Check
- Internal disagreements within the Department of War are raising questions about the stability of military leadership.
- A sudden firing within the Navy highlights friction between high-ranking officials and political appointees.
- Critics are demanding transparency to ensure the administration prioritizes national security over personal grievances.
Newsmax host Greg Kelly recently criticized Secretary of War Pete Hegseth following the abrupt removal of Navy Secretary John Phelan. Phelan was reportedly escorted from the building by security immediately after his termination.
Kelly accused Hegseth of mishandling the situation, suggesting the dismissal lacked the professional courtesy usually afforded to such high-level positions.
“What a DESPICABLE guy Hegseth is. Frustrated that he can’t remove his Real Nemesis, the Army Secretary, He Fires the NAVY Secretary, has him ‘walked out of the building’ by security.”
The firing occurred shortly after the USS Spruance successfully intercepted an Iranian vessel attempting to bypass a blockade. Despite the military success, the internal shakeup at the Pentagon continues to draw scrutiny from conservative observers.
“Instead this Insecure FAKE, who Lied and Conned his way thru Life… Blows up Someone Else’s life bc he can’t Handle his own.”
