The Department of Justice is moving to strengthen the federal death penalty by reinstating execution protocols and expanding methods to include firing squads.

These changes aim to expedite cases involving the most heinous criminals and ensure justice for victims’ families.

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche emphasized that the previous administration failed to protect Americans by refusing to apply the ultimate punishment.

He stated that the department is now recommitting to enforcing the law and standing with victims of barbaric crimes.

“The prior administration failed in its duty to protect the American people by refusing to pursue and carry out the ultimate punishment against the most dangerous criminals, including terrorists, child murderers, and cop killers,” Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said.

Protecting the constitutional right to safety requires a government willing to hold the most violent offenders accountable.

Restoring these penalties sends a clear message that justice will no longer be delayed for those who target our citizens.

The Constitution must be defended.
