EXCLUSIVE: Mamdani’s Outrage Over ICE Self-Defense Shooting Ignites Bronx Chaos

  • ICE agents lawfully engaged a wanted illegal immigrant with a violent criminal record including gang ties
  • Sanctuary city policies enabled the repeat offender’s release despite prior arrests for assault and robbery
  • Radical local officials are now demanding an end to federal immigration enforcement in defiance of constitutional authority

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is demanding President Donald Trump shut down all ICE operations after federal agents defended themselves during a targeted arrest in the Bronx.

The confrontation occurred when officers attempted to detain a Dominican national with prior grand larceny convictions and documented Trinitarios gang connections.

Mamdani claims the shooting is proof that ICE is “rotten to its core” and accused agents of spreading “chaos and terror” across the nation.

“All they do is terrorize this city,” the mayor declared at a late-night press conference.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul joined the criticism, calling the incident “devastating” and urging Trump to halt all enforcement operations in the state.

“Tonight, I spoke with President Trump and DHS Secretary Mullin about the shooting in Marble Hill,” Hochul posted on X. “I expressed outrage on behalf of New Yorkers and urged them to halt ICE enforcement operations in New York. I also asked that any body camera footage of the shooting be released to the public so we can establish the facts and get to the truth.”

DHS confirmed the suspect was a wanted man with multiple prior arrests for assault, robbery, drug possession, and weapons violations.

The man was arrested by NYPD in December 2023 but was immediately released due to New York City’s sanctuary policies, according to federal officials.

Hundreds of demonstrators later gathered outside the hospital where the suspect was being treated, chanting “ICE off our streets” and “From Palestine to Mexico, all these walls have got to go.”

Several arrests were made as protesters clashed with officers attempting to maintain order at the scene.

It’s time to push back.
