Mega-Dollar Battle of the Sexes Challenge Drops as WNBA Trans Chaos Explodes

Liberty Check

  • OutKick founder Clay Travis offers $10 million for high school boys vs. WNBA champions matchup to settle biological reality debate once and for all
  • WNBA star Sophie Cunningham faces vicious backlash for defending women’s sports against biological male intrusion
  • WNBA Commissioner remains silent while star player stands alone defending basic biological truth

OutKick founder Clay Travis threw down a gauntlet Monday that has the WNBA squirming: a $10 million prize to stage a “modern-day battle of the sexes” basketball game between the reigning WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces and a boys’ high school basketball state championship team.

The challenge comes as the WNBA finds itself drowning in a transgender culture war after Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham, 29, dared to say what every rational American already knows: girls should not have to compete against biological men in women’s sports. Cunningham’s courageous stance has generated fierce support from women’s sports advocates rallying outside her games, but also predictable rage from the radical left.

“If the WNBA really doesn’t believe that men are that much better than women at basketball, then the champion of the WNBA should be able to beat a bunch of high school boys,” Travis said Monday on “The Will Cain Show.”

“If they are going to allow men to play, I think we should have an actual game. Not NBA players against WNBA players. High school boys. Let me pick a team.”

Travis told Fox News the head-to-head matchup would be broadcast on pay-per-view, with all profits donated to Tunnel to Towers. He predicted the game would generate millions of dollars for the charity that supports America’s heroes.

“If the high school boys win, I will give them ten million dollars. If the WNBA team wins, I will give them ten million dollars. I think we would raise tens of millions of dollars for charity, and I’m putting my money where my mouth is.”

“They always talk about how they want more money. This is more money for one basketball game than has ever been paid to win in the history of the sport.”

Travis criticized WNBA leadership, saying league officials have gone radio silent on his proposed matchup while refusing to address what he characterized as the “absolutely ludicrous” and “absurd” idea of allowing biological males to compete in the women’s league. The silence from the top speaks volumes about where the league’s priorities really lie.

He took direct aim at WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert, condemning her for abandoning Cunningham and refusing to publicly defend the obvious truth that women’s sports should remain for biological women. While one of her star players faces vicious harassment for standing up for fairness, Engelbert has offered nothing but cowardly silence.

“It’s called the WNBA because it’s the women’s basketball association, right?”

“The WNBA commissioner has not spoken out in favor of Sophie Cunningham or even just in favor of basic rules.”

The challenge exposes the fundamental absurdity at the heart of the transgender sports debate. If biological differences don’t matter, as the left constantly insists, then the WNBA champions should have no problem defeating high school boys. But everyone knows the truth—and that’s exactly why the league won’t take Travis up on his offer.

Cunningham’s brave stand has put her career on the line while her own league leadership hides in the shadows. Women’s sports advocates have rallied to her defense, organizing outside her games to show support for basic fairness and biological reality.

Meanwhile, trans activists have launched vicious attacks, hurling slurs at Cunningham’s supporters and trying to intimidate anyone who dares speak common sense. The left’s playbook is predictable: silence, intimidate, and destroy anyone who challenges their radical agenda.

Travis’s $10 million challenge cuts through the political correctness and forces a simple question: if men and women are physically equal in sports, prove it. Put the championship team on the court against high school boys and settle it once and for all.

The fact that the WNBA won’t even acknowledge the challenge tells you everything you need to know. They know the outcome would destroy their narrative in front of millions of viewers. They know biological reality would be on full display for the entire country to witness.

The Constitution must be defended.
