College Mascot Forced Into INSANE Workout After Blowout Victory

Liberty Check

  • Kansas State’s Willie the Wildcat completed over 390 push-ups during a 71-3 blowout — one set after every scoring drive
  • The tradition showcases the grit and dedication that made college football an American institution
  • While critics mock his form, the mascot’s commitment mirrors the work ethic that built this country

If you were fortunate enough to watch your college football team score more than 70 points this weekend, you’re probably feeling pretty good right now. Not many teams put up those kinds of numbers anymore, and everyone loves watching the scoreboard light up when it’s their team doing the damage.

But one guy — or rather, one anthropomorphic wildcat — isn’t feeling quite so great about all that offensive firepower.

That would be Willie the Wildcat, mascot for the Kansas State Wildcats. His team had themselves an absolute clinic on offense Saturday night, dropping 71 points on hapless Nicholls State in a complete demolition.

The Colonels got absolutely smoked 71-3. But the only person more upset than their defense about that offensive explosion might just be Willie himself.

Why? Because Willie had to do the work — busting out a full set of push-ups to match the scoreboard after every single scoring drive. And by the end of the night, our calisthenically inclined mascot could barely move through his range of motion.

Seventy-one points translates to a staggering 394 push-ups in one evening. That’s downright mental unless you’re prime Arnold Schwarzenegger. Willie might be the only mascot in America joining the players in the cold tub Sunday morning.

Some armchair critics are mocking his form by the end of the game. But let’s see those keyboard warriors bang out 400 push-ups and still be able to raise their arms above their heads, let alone drop and give seven more.

This is what makes college football great — the traditions, the commitment, the refusal to quit no matter how tough it gets. Willie’s dedication to finishing what he started, even when his muscles were screaming, embodies the American spirit that made this sport what it is.

If Kansas State ever needs a backup middle linebacker, Willie might be able to fill in admirably after this kind of conditioning.

Of course, Willie will probably be thrilled to see his team face a defense with an actual pulse next week. But K-State plays in the Big 12, where offenses run wild, so he’d better ice up and hit the protein shakes harder this season.

Americans deserve better entertainment than what the mainstream media offers — and college football delivers every single Saturday.
