Should You Have to Be 21+ to Purchase a Firearm?

Here’s the Scoop

House Democrats are proposing a bill to ban anyone under 21 from purchasing a semi-automatic rifle.

The measure comes after a gunman used two semi-automatic rifles to fatally shoot 19 children and two teachers at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas. The gunman had purchased the weapons days after his 18th birthday.

However, any such bill would face legal hurdles.

Last month, the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled 2-1 that California’s ban on the sale of semi-automatic weapons to adults under 21 violated the Second Amendment right to bear arms.

What do you think? Should you have to be 21+ to purchase firearms, including semi-automatic rifles? Let us know with your vote!

If you have to be 21 to purchase a firearm, then, Are the armed forces of THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA NOT GOING TO ALLOW ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 21 TO JOIN?, BECAUSE IF THEY DO, THEY WILL BE GIVEN FIREARMS AND TAUGHT HOW TO USE THEM

I cannot believe 45% said NO! They all must be 18 to 20.

I’m 65 Grandpa! If 18 year olds can join our military they should be able to purchase firearms! I was trained on how to use them! Require new purchasers to take a coarse.

I only say 21+ because most young people are lefty tards and most mass shooters are by the young. The brain isn’t fully developed until 26. I also would agree to raising the voting age to 21.

Frankly the survey does not allow this question but I dont think ANYONE should have to register or sign for anything related to firearms.

If at 18 they are not Responsible enough to purchase Firearms then they are NOT RESPONSIBLE Enough to go into the Military to protect this country. You can’t have it both ways, you can’t tell them they have to register/enter the Military and be given a gun and training then when they leave tell them they’re not old enough to have guns. More Democratic idiocy.
I’m 65 by the way and old enough to be a Grandma, live in a rural area & grew up around weapons.

For the ones that said no, I hope they meet up with some of Biden’s illegal border crossers.

Good gun practices and respect for firearms are learned and not age specific! The media has done a great job instilling fear of youth owning guns! Anyone who understands the devastation a fool with a gun brings to the world understands why it’s use is extreme and life is sacred! Punish the fool not the responsible operator! I have owned guns from my first years of awareness and have yat used one for malicious intent! If you think 21 is the answer you know nothing! Responsiblity for gun ownership is learned best when you are very young! The 2A does not limit to age FOR A GOOD REASON!Those who said yes are the enemy, not a youth who understands gun resondsibilit! Make gun training by the NRA mandatory to own a gun! Don’t take anyone right to defend themselves away because of their age! Now, how many irresponsible 30 yearolds do you know! I work in a nightclub! I can show you droves of them!
